RAINBOWS

Lightning strikes, Thunder rolls
Rain pelting, as the storm unfolds
Raging force, winds so strong
Seems to last, much too long
Then a dead calm, In the sky
Clouds break away, float on by
The sun brings forth, a color array
A lovely Rainbow on full display
A Beautiful gift, of reds & blue
A wondrous sight, to share with You.
Life is stormy, full of pain
Tears come down, as pouring rain
Lightning is a shattering heart
And sometimes my world, tends to fall apart
Then a rainbow will come shining through
Cloaked in disguise, I see it's You
You take away my misery
You shower me with dignity
Why would You do this, when I'm so low
You give me a promise, a signed rainbow
Rainbows come from God, when they appear
Mine wiped away, my every tear
You bring me comfort, when I am sad
You share my happiness, when I am glad
Chasing all storm clouds away
You erase pain from yesterday
You paint the sky with a gentle touch
Is there no wonder, I love You so much
I believe there are rainbows, of human kind
God gave me one, You are mine.
